The Black Friar - Salford

I had a wonderful evening. The food was excellent, and the staff was extremely attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I visited for a Sunday roast and found it to be quite overpriced compared to other similar options, like Hawksmoor. The beef was overcooked, lacking any pink in the center, and the portion size was not sufficient compared to the other items on my plate. The Yorkshire puddings were also a bit overcooked. On the positive side, the mashed potatoes were excellent. However, I would suggest looking for other dining options, as this place is way too expensive for what you get.

This was our second visit to this restaurant, but on both occasions, we found the host to be a bit rude. We arrived early and wanted to have a drink at the bar, but the host kept insisting that we go to our table. However, the waitstaff were lovely, just like last time, and the food was excellent.

We were visiting our daughter in Manchester and were all delighted with our Sunday Lunch at the Black Friars. We have passed before and commented on how lovely it looks and we’re not disappointed, would recommend and will be back
