Pastability's - Salinas

I visited this restaurant during a trip and I was impressed. The portion sizes were generous and the Donatello dish was packed with shrimp and sun-dried tomatoes. The service was fast and the prices were fair. Although there weren't many seating options (just a few tables outside near a large parking lot), we decided to take our food to go. Overall, the meal was delicious and I would definitely return.

I always choose this place for fast pasta! They give big portions at a reasonable price. One bowl is enough for two people to share. My top choice is the Michaelangelo! I highly recommend this restaurant.

If you're in the mood for pasta or looking for catering, this is the perfect spot for you. I highly recommend trying The Michaelangelo, a blackened chicken alfredo dish that is always a hit at any party. Don't forget to also sample their delicious garlic bread, which is soft and bursting with flavor. You won't be disappointed!

We love the owners, who own a couple of restaurants in town, most notably Gino's. This place is kind of Gino's lite. The food is of similar quality but the menu is pared way down and some dishes seem different, e.g. the tiramisu. There is a picnic table outside and I'm not sure if there's any indoor seating (in both cases the ambiance is not its strong point). It's pretty much a takeaway joint with solid service and good food. Oh, and they also carry Mariann's Ice Cream (the best of Santa Cruz)! I am going to mention a personal peeve, they bring their religion into the restaurant which, if the other things weren't so good, would turn me off and away. Otherwise YUM!
