The decor is simple yet colorful with vibrant tablecloths. The menu offers classic dishes you would expect from a traditional Mexican restaurant. We tried the chicken enchiladas and a chicken burrito, both of which were generous portions filled with tender chicken. There were plenty of salsa and condiments to choose from. We also tried the horchata, which was delicious. This place has even received a great review in The New York Times.
This restaurant, located in Salisbury in Adelaide, may seem unassuming but serves up delicious food. According to a food critic in The Guardian, it is considered the best Mexican restaurant in Australia. After dining here with someone who has lived in Central America, I can confirm that the food is authentic. We tried tacos with three different fillings, which were mildly flavored but incredibly fresh. The addition of sauces elevated the flavors even more. For dessert, we had Torte Tres Leches, which was sinfully delicious. Overall, it was a great meal that was simple yet satisfying. I give it four stars because the food was delicious and affordable, but I would need to try more dishes to be completely sure.
This authentic restaurant in Salisbury offers a variety of popular Mexican dishes at affordable prices. The food here is not your typical mass-produced Mexican fare, but rather homemade dishes cooked by someone's grandma in the kitchen. The tacos and complimentary salsas, especially the spicier options, are a must-try. The elote is a standout dish that shouldn't be missed. With so many tempting options on the menu, I suggest trying a little bit of everything.
Well what a surprise this place was!! I can't believe in the back streets of Salisbury we'd find such quality Mexican food! Beautiful Mexican ladies cooking quality food that myself, I find hard to like in Adelaide and this has made my day! The Tomales were incredible, the Mole (I've never tried) but simply delicious cheesy chocolatey taste that I just loved. Fantastic value and we will be back, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because u can't get a Margarita haha! But do yourself a favour and get down there, it's very tiny and pretty warm inside, but the food is well worth it.
Great food, unique hole in the wall that makes you think you could be in the back streets of Mexico. The staff are friendly and the place was busy.
