Perlen - Samsoe

Normally, I am very happy to eat at Samsø Perlen, but our visit for a month ago was unfortunately disappointing. The food was nice and the portions large. However, the restaurant could well penetrate a loving hand, the interior is quite worn. We usually order our food in advance so we can get to eat in peace and tranquility before we have to with the ferry to Aarhus. This year I had also booked table and food in advance (2 star shoots and a schnitzel). But the service level was disappointing there were two MEGET young people who were responsible for the operation (they were sweet and it was not their fault that the food was over half an hour delayed, but it was super woodenls). We had asked to have the food served at 17 when we had to sail 18.15, and when we had our 9 months old daughter with, I did not have to stress. But after a neighbourhood without food I started to move for the food. They were very sorry but they could not do so much. After moving three times, the food finally came 17.40, after which we had to swallow the food because it was very good. I think we find another solution next year.

The location is good, unfortunately not well described how to get to the parking lot by car as it is located directly at the ferry port. Just drank a coffee there while waiting for the ferry. Fand the coffee very expensive. When paying, it is not pointed out that you can get coffee as much as you want. On the invoice you could find a very small hint. Who's looking at the bill for coffee? When I wanted to get the 2nd coffee, it was only unwillingly presented and the cup was made half-full. Only three times the cup was full.

We had Smørebød with potatoes and were very positively surprised. Had a occupied bread expected and got a really big, lush dish that we would not have expected. For dessert there were ice cream in the varieties chocolate mint and rumball. The best vegan ice cream I've eaten so far.

We called in advance and it was no problem to have served vegan food. We got a really delicious orientation with lenses and vegetables from the island and a fresh salad.
