First I'm here and it was good value prices. we had a reservation of 18:00 clock Friday night and the place was packed. only two small tables, both in a lively walkway. for the first time not great. eating is for our poor. waitress was attentive and friendly. the small problem with for was the duck wing appetizer was over boiled and dry . we let our waitress becca know about it. we will be back and come down definitiw earlier than 6:00, so we may get a stand or more beautiful table. not sure if reservations help because they had only one table in walking distance or a high-top table in the bar.
This is one of our very favorite restaurants in South County. The food is superb, service outstanding and it's always one of our best nights out. We both had the fish and were delighted with the dish. Only suggestion is to get a few more moderately priced wines on the wine list.
Lovely as always, but I sure did miss the salmon dip appetizer
It was a cold New Year’s Day dinner time, but we decided to sit in the covered outside area anyway a lot quieter and sufficiently warm. We started with the sugar pumpkin ravioli and both of us loved it. Not too sweet and not too savory. Just right. Then we jumped to dinner. My girlfriend had the salmon and I had schnitzel. Again, we loved them both. The salmon was seasoned and cooked perfectly and served with saffron pearl couscous, baby rainbow carrots, watercress, toasted coriander valencia orange vinaigrette. My schnitzel was just what I’d hoped for. Not greasy at all and juicy all the way through. Butternut squash spaetzle, romanesco and blue lake beans were served on the side and the schnitzel was topped with an apple cider whole grain mustard gravy. For dessert we had decaf cappuccinos and, of course, the oatmeal raisin cookie crumble. It was all delicious and perfect for an end of the holiday season dinner.
