Avila's El Ranchito - San Clemente

This restaurant offers an impressive selection of food at excellent prices. The quality is exceptional, the portion sizes are generous, and the service is quick and efficient. Although my review might seem a bit standard, the positives are strikingly clear, and I find it hard to pinpoint any downsides!

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in San Clemente. The tacos, enchiladas, and margaritas are all outstanding.

The management is rude to customers. While the food is delicious and the service is excellent, the experience is overshadowed by the behavior of the older, shorter manager, who is rather unfriendly. On the other hand, the young, taller manager with tattoos covering his arms also contributes to an uncomfortable atmosphere. It's as if they aren't familiar with the hospitality industry or are simply unwelcoming to guests. This has created a strange situation that makes me hesitant to return. Initially, I thought it was just a one-time incident for us, but I’ve heard from other friends in San Clemente who share the same sentiment.

I absolutely love the salsa sauce here—it's really spicy! The portions for all the food are quite generous, even on the kids' menu. If your kids don't eat a lot, be careful not to order too much. The grilled chicken salad was decent, but the dressing was a bit too sour for my taste. The burger was enormous, and the fries were just alright.

Absolutely excellent Mexican cuisine in the charming town of San Clemente. I adore the village atmosphere here. It's just a short stroll from a stunning beach and pier.
