Tried her pesto (4/5) and tomatoes basil gnocchi (3/5). It is not a formal din with waiter to help you, but others than that the pastas were fresh, fast served and better than most places served Italian cuisine.
This café was very recommended to me, and most aspects, it was not disappointed! I loved the wide selection of coffee, gelato and pastas. The shop itself is small, but impressively designed and impresses with a lively atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only reason I could offer four stars instead of five could actually be due to user mistakes : I ordered the gnocchi with gorgonzola sauce, and found the sauce to have such a stinging taste, I could not finish it. I wonder if the sauce was made with gorgonzola piccante instead of gorgonzola dolce, but although I don't have the training to distinguish the two. All I know is that the taste, although it was both fresh and authentic, was much too piquant for my palate, and as much as I wanted to enjoy it, I could not. Fans of blue cheese would probably love this sauce, but unfortunately it wasn't for me. During my next visit I plan to try the vodka sauce, and I am optimistic, it will be much more to my taste.
I enjoyed this hidden café with its variety of bakery, desserts and other treats. The Gelato was quite delicious, the place gave an authentic Italian experience. People who work there are very friendly and gave me a number of recommendations. It wasn't too busy when I was there in the afternoon. The café is located in a building and they have tables and chairs next to the café.
Wow this is place is amazing! Probably one of the better Italian places we have ate at. Albeit a bit hidden off the street and did not have full inventory of what was listed but well worth the visit. Came on a Saturday afternoon for a quick meal and desert. Was not busy at all and staff was readily available to serve. The gnocchi with pesto sauce was absolutely delicious and paired well with the 2015 Monte Antico. Ordered a couple different deserts which were also phenomenal nutella cheese cake and the sweet but fantastically warm dark chocolate crossiant. Amid Covid, they have the outdoor seating in front of the plaza to sit and relax while eating but we took it to go. Food presentation was great and would definitely go back again.
