Mosaic - San Jose

This was a spontaneous decision to try out this restaurant. We found it on a map and decided to give it a shot. The staff was very friendly and the setup was nice. The only issue was the wet carpet near where we were seated, which caused my sweater to get soaked. Despite this, the food was incredible with delicious flavors and impressive presentation. Our food came out quickly and there was no long wait. The prices were reasonable. There were a few minor issues with the lights flickering, possibly due to an employee bumping into them. Overall, I would recommend checking them out for dinner.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. I made a reservation through OpenTable and was promptly seated with a reserved sign upon my arrival. The staff was attentive and friendly, checking on me throughout the meal. The food was exceptional - the roasted lamb chop appetizer was juicy and flavorful, the miso ginger salmon entree had a delicious smoky flavor, and the chocolate molten cake was rich and not too sweet. Overall, a fantastic dining experience.

Seems like it was one of those places that was fantastic before the pandemic. Considering the price, the food was good, not great.

I went to the restaurant on a weekday after work and found that it was not too busy. The server was attentive and friendly, and the food and drinks were enjoyable. The prices during happy hour and after were fair.

Consistency is key. For years this place has delivered tasty food n drinks with a chill atmosphere. Been coming here for years, this is my first review for them, but I come here for and love their fried tofu dish. It has peppers n onions mixed with it and the sauce is sweet n sticky. People are nice, and attentive even while being busy. I walked in during a Friday night, was promptly and politely helped at the bar, and was pleasantly surprised they had live music too. Single guy with a jazz guitar singing pretty darn good….especially the Steely Dan cover. The staff are clearly industry vets, and I’m glad they survived the ‘demic. Long live Mosaic!
