I highly recommend this place because it passed all of my taste tests: (A) It tastes great without basil and lemon, (B) It's delicious with Sriracha and Hoisin sauce, (C) It blends perfectly with basil and lemon. I always like to test different flavor combinations to compare with other restaurants. My go-to dish is the Pho Tai Bo Vien, and from now on, Pho Passion will be my go-to spot for Pho. The meal pairs well with tea or a light beer (although I can't remember if they serve alcohol). I also appreciate the fact that the seating is spaced out enough to maintain social distancing. I prefer to have my own space while enjoying my meal, unlike other places where you are packed in like sardines. If you ever find yourself on Santa Clara Street between 7th and 8th Street, make sure to stop by Pho Passion for a fantastic dining experience.
I had a wonderful experience having lunch for a business meeting at this restaurant. They have a small terrace at the front, which added to the overall experience. I ordered the chicken Pho, which was delicious and arrived quickly. I also tried the Saigon Peach tea, which was fantastic. The staff was attractive and provided good service. The ambience of the restaurant was beautiful.
I have tried over 4 other Pho restaurants in San Jose, and I have to say that this one is the best. The broth was flavorful yet light, and you can customize the type of noodles in your pho. They also offer basil, which may seem small, but I have noticed that many places do not utilize it. The service was excellent, with my food arriving quickly and the hostess being very friendly and helpful. The portion size was generous and satisfying. The tea was also exceptional, making me want to return just for that. This will be my new go-to spot. If you are looking for delicious Pho, don't hesitate to give this place a try. That's the bottom line.
Today it's the first time I came pho Passion Mintea. I tried Pho with sour spicy broth incredible, it's so delicious. I read comments before I got there. I thought this quality was price. I loved Steak there because she used Filet Mignon. I think they're one of the restaurants that Sanjose-Ware-Rind for Steak-Pho. I recommend trying.
I came on this place almost accidentally because I was recently offered a new job where it’s in downtown San Jose area. For a while I passed by it thinking I must came in and have some pho or specialty drinks soon especially after I read so many great reviews regarding it. On a relatively windy and cool day, which is perfect for hot meal or hot soup like pho, I decided to come in. I was thoroughly impressed by the modern artistic deco, completely unexpected and much more chic and trendier than other pho restaurants I’ve frequent. Then I met the lady server who was smiling to me which gave me a welcoming sensation. Upon ordering, I also saw the choices of noodles for pho which wasn’t always an option in other places and I was ecstatic because instead of the usual thin rice pho noodles, I got to order the thicker rice noodles version which I much more prefer, as they are softer and chewier (more Al dente). After order I was given a number so the server can find me wherever I am and that’s another great feature of the establishment which I don’t have to wait for anyone to seat me. I also ordered some specialty fruit drinks and they were so tasty and fresh. Overall, great experience but if I must suggest anything for improvement, it’s universal to all pho restaurants. That is, pho noodles have become way more expensive than even few years ago, to a ridiculous level. What used to be cheaper comfort food is becoming nearly unaffordable and honestly I don’t think they cost an arm and a leg on the ingredients to the establishments but because they are popular, the businesses have all decided to upcharge their clients. If I were there restaurateur, I would not have charged so much on something so simplistic and not all that expensive because n ultimately they can sell volumes and satisfy more customers, primarily those that don’t have high paying jobs like the high tech employees here. But again, that’s just my opinion.
