Sushi Confidential San Jose

First time dining in here it was the worst. Server got our oders but instead of katsu, they gave me a teriyaki. (Not a big deal) but our server did not come back. Did not even bother to refill our water, gave us napkins or what.Food: 3/5

I came during happy hour. It was cool and lowkey. My bill came out to $65, which isn’t terrible but it was a bit on the pricey side for happy hour. Service was good and drinks were made well. Would return just would probably avoid the salmon nigiri. Rainbow roll was great though. Good music as well!Food: 4/5

Great place with huge selection of sushi rolls. Ramen was decent too. Ambience is great. They have good size patio and outdoor bar as well. Location is very convenient and right next to parking lot. Good starters options too.Food: 5/5

The food here was awful! I love sushi and honestly won’t complain too much about mediocre sushi, but the fish was so bad. It was definitely not fresh and has a strong fishy taste that was unpleasant. The poké bowl didn’t even come with any sauce and it was 75% rice. The vegetables on it were browning too. It was aggressively overprice for what you get. Additionally, the whole time the restaurant smelled like a porter-potty which made the whole experience even less appetizing.

Food was good and venue was cool. Service was alright. I think they took a while to get our drinks and they forgot to bring us the spicy mayo so had to ask twice. Nobody greeted us when we walked in so we had to flag someone to be seated. A lil on the expensive side but it's also a night out type of environment so that's understandable. Food was good!
