Agua - San José del Cabo

The setting is fantastic and evening atmosphere first class. Prices are over the top for the quality or ‘innovation’. The Moroccan theme just did not work for the dishes we chose. The Australian wagyu short rib was dry and basically tasteless and served over a mountain of couscous. Very mediocre. Service was nice and attentive. Nice live music. Wine prices outrageous

We had a VERY special dinner here for my husband's birthday. Reserved a moonlight table. One of the outdoor booths that overlook the bay! The entire experience was exceptional! Especially the service

We really wanted to love this lovely restaurant, because friends highly recommended it. The location is magical, the service deferential and gracious. The food was extremely mediocre. The prices are outrageously high, for Mexico astronomical, and even for San Francisco where I'm from, I would say overpriced, based on the quality of the food.One dish was very goodthe elote soup with scallops. The grilled octopus was ok, the signature sea bass was not properly executedthe sauce separated, leaving an oily film on top, and the fish was overcooked. There is a deep fried chimichanga shrimp appetizers that was awful. The citrus salad was ok. House made bread was good. Churros were good. The overall experience was good, not unpleasant, but no reason to return based on the food we had

The setting is spectacular. The service top notch. The food was just amazing. I told our server that the octopus appetizer was the best I had ever eaten. The Chef came out and thanked us. I thanked him and his staff for a wonderful evening
