We ordered our main course at 7:30 and food did not arrive until 8:30. We would have ordered dessert but we had no idea how long that would take. Slow, slow service. Slightly above average food. You go for the view.
This is a MUST dinner in the corridor. Located at the Baja Point part of the Westin and recently reopened. The views are just spectacular of the coastline and adjacent properties accented by infinity pool and cliffside location which gave us a spectacular view of the sunset behind the mountains. The food was very well prepared and courses were nicely paced. We were there for the Mango festival specials which were really awesome. Go early and have a drink on the deck, you wont want to leave. Excellent value for the venue, not nearly as expensive as other fancy hotel restaurants nearby.
This is best restaurant in all Cabos San Lucas or Cabos San Jose; and, We have eaten at all best over last 25 years. Luis Martinez, restaurant food and beverage manager; and Eduardo Perezmoreno, General Manager have improved El Ciruelo about 5000 percent since we have been coming to it since 2005! I started with the Tuna Tacos. Fresh Ahi Tuna with cilantro, sesame seeds, avocado sauce, lime and epazote taco. My main course was Ahi Tuna tortilla crust, black mole sauteed purslane, corn kennels and plantain pure. My wife had Watermelon salad, with arugula, roasted fennel, red radish, cucumber, creamy goat cheese, and, yellow bell pepper, olive and coyuca salt. Her main course was the Sea Bass. It came with roasted wild mushroom risotto; and cascabel chili sauce. They have an excellent wine list. We chose an Italian Pinot Grigio to compliment or fish entrees. Between courses we had several small entrees . We had plum salse mango, Amuse bouche, and a sorbet. WHOW!! The service was outstanding. We had Jaime, Karen, Patty and one other. We did not want for service, as I like lots of ice! Anyone can come to El Ciruelo now. The restaurant is open to the public on the Los Cabos Corridor at The Grand Regina, which is right next to the very large Westin Resort. Parking attendants are available right at the entrance to the Grand Regina.Sincerely,Ed Altman Jr
Spectacular views with attentive service and delicious meals! You will not be disappointed! We enjoyed sunset from our outdoor table, but the view is just as nice in the air conditioned inside. Come early and enjoy a drink on the deck!
From the friendly staff to the delicious food and beautiful view, the entire evening was very special. We enjoyed El Ciruelo so much that we ate here two nights in a row. My favorite dish was the organic chicken with lime caper sauce. Also loved the watermelon salad; unique and tasty.
