Sugarhouse - San Jose del Monte

2/8/2016, 8:30 pm Staff refused to let us stay, insisting we do take out instead since they are closing in half an hour. Manager is nowhere to be seen - staff said the manager has left early.

One of the cakeshop / bakeshop that we look forward to every celebration (or just simply craves) since we've always, like literally ALWAYS, patronize their cakes and sweets. I just love everything! Fresh and of quality goods which is why I can say that we're a regular customer at this branch. I hope they'd stay at Greenhills always.

If you are looking for sweet desserts this is th go to place. They offer a variety of cakes. Their cakes are extraordinary. I love their triple x cake. Chocolate flavor cake is the best. There are more choices to choose from so check this out.

I got confused with this name Sugarhouse. All the while, I thought this is just only a stores for cakes, cupcakes, anything about sweets but suddenly when I entered, I was shocked because they also have steaks like Salisbury, spaghetti, etc. like other restaurants. Tried the Salisbury steak, it was delicious and juicy. #justsaying

I've had Sugar House's Apple Pie ever since I can remember. It's home for me -just the apple pie. We went there today to just get a slice but we ended up eating there instead. What we ordered: Yema Balls Club Sandwich Pigs in a Blanket Apple Pie some kind of chowder soda and tea Let's get into the delicious details... The Yema Balls were comforting but they were a little oily for me, I could say I've had better. I had no qualms with the Club Sandwich because it was tasty and kind of right for the weather but It's not something I'd go gaga for. Pigs in a Blanket (Bacon Wrapped Hungarian Sausage in a bun with Potato Chips) were okay but the potato chips tasted kind of funny. The chowder was soothing, perfect for a tiring day. Not to mention the really long garlic bread they threw in. Over all it was an okay visit. However, we were surprised that our bill reached 1,020. It looked like something in the range of 600-700. If you're ever in the mood for something light or something that would be just right, this is it. Not the stuff your face kind of deal, more of petite eating. Their pastries are all divine!
