It took an hour and a half for our food to arrive after ordering. They had 2 cooks working that night. A warning would have been nice.
Our party of 6 was seated right away but we were nervous because it took awhile for our waitress to come. But the drinks and food arrived quickly. Everyone enjoyed their food (monfongo, paella, and funky chicken) and the coquito was delicious!
We stumbled upon this spot while exploring the shops of old San Juan. It was our 2nd Puerto Rican restaurant upon our arrival and it was delicious. Sue, our server was great. She was extremely helpful and engaging. I had the best Sangria. The Coquito was good, too. We will be back to try something different.
We had a great experience! Local food done old school so it was delicious! We had the garlic infused tostones and the empanadillas as appetizers and shared the funky chicken with mamposteado! Absolutely fantastic and a great way to really taste the puertorican flavors! The el Yunque cocktail was superb! Zully told us a bit of the history of the place and Jean, our waiter recommended the main dish and even treated us with coquito... a must at Christmas! We really enjoyed our time here and recommend this restaurant to everyone!
Best atmosphere, MUST visit there. We had a blast, highly recommended!!!
