Pho 4 Queen - San Marcos

The Vietnamese food here is fantastic. The pho soup is incredibly flavorful. Food rating: 5/5.

The food and service were exceptional. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and promptly seated. I ordered the #6 beef and rice, which was indescribably delicious, while my mother had the #4 chicken and rice, and she thoroughly enjoyed it. My brother and nephew opted for the chicken pho, which was perfect for warming them up. My brother also tried the spring rolls that featured white rice, shrimp, pork, and lettuce, and they were truly unforgettable. The five-star service is definitely a reason for us to return.

I absolutely love this place! It's the best pho I've ever had. My son won't eat at any other pho restaurants; he only wants pho from here, and I completely understand why. Their pho broth is delicious, and the spring rolls, steak cubes, fried rice, and seafood noodles are all fantastic. As for kid-friendliness, the staff is always welcoming and friendly to all their guests.

I also tried the calamari because it caught my eye on the menu, but that was another disappointment. It was excessively salty, and despite adding lime and dipping it in sauce, the saltiness was overwhelming. When I mentioned this to the owner, he suggested ordering it with less salt next time, which I appreciated. I would give the food a 2 out of 5, but since there's potential for improvement, I'll leave a 3-star rating. The service was decent, about a 7 out of 10. The owner or the gentleman at the front took my order quickly, but when I ordered coffee, he didn’t inform me that they only serve cold brew. I had expected hot coffee as it was listed on the menu. When I asked for hot coffee, he seemed annoyed and said they didn’t have it, but he did offer to take the cold brew back. Other than that, he was polite. They do offer hot oil or paste in the kitchen if you just ask the waiter. I ended up spending $28, which would have been $33 with the coffee. Bon appétit!

I enjoyed a delicious homemade Pho! The beef sandwich was incredibly flavorful. I’ll definitely be returning soon.
