Rocky River Grille - San Marcos

I called the Embassy Suites phone line and was informed that everything was open as usual. However, when I spoke to the front desk, I found out that the restaurant has actually been closed for a year due to COVID. This is a major miscommunication from Embassy Main.

I tried the Chicken and Waffles, and it was excellent. They also had a great selection of beers on tap. The service was a bit slow, but they were honest about it.

We had 2 meals from the Grille via room service and couldn’t be happier with the food. We had the 202 club with fries one night and the burger and fries the next night. While some might think the meals are pricey, you get huge portions of great tasting food. Both times we were told it would be 30 mins and both times it took 20 mins or less. Couldn’t have been happier.

Service was average. No complaints there. Food was underwhelming and over priced. If you can, go elsewhere.

The service was extremely slow; we waited an hour for our food!
