Rubio's Coastal Grill - San Marcos

I tried the Langostino Lobster Bowl, and it has quickly become my favorite dish. The combination of garlic butter and lemon is incredible with it. I’ll definitely be ordering it at least once a week!

I've ordered from Rubio's many times, and my overall experience has been great and consistent. However, I was really disappointed this time because the portion was the smallest I've ever received. I wouldn't recommend the Mango Avocado Salad—it's good when you eat in, but it falls short for takeout.

I was disappointed with the quality of the food during my visit. The guacamole had an off taste, as if it was made with old avocados, and wasn’t fresh at all. Instead of limes, I received lemons, which was unexpected. The salsa containers were half the size they used to be, barely enough to cover a taco. The chips were overcooked and hard. To top it off, the churros had an unpleasant smell. Given the price of the food, I was expecting much better quality and value.

Why were the quesadillas removed from the menu? That was the only thing I ordered and its gone for some reason. Now the only option is a kids quesadilla...

This location consistently drowns my tacos in sauce to the point where they are soaking wet. The Valley Parkway location in Escondido is 10x better in terms of quality control.
