Schlotzsky's - San Marcos

The service was excellent when we placed our order. However, the pizza was overly salty, making it difficult to enjoy. The sandwiches I ordered were nearly fine, but one of them included lettuce despite my request for no lettuce. The restaurant itself did not appear clean and was, in fact, quite dirty. Both trash bins were overflowing, and despite shifts changing while we dined, the staff did not address the overflowing garbage. This Schlotzky's definitely needs more staff. On a positive note, we appreciated the variety of chip options available.

The restaurant was seriously understaffed for the weekend. They had a sign indicating they were out of ham and turkey, and they charged extra to substitute other meats. I've had much better experiences at their other locations.

I ordered an avocado turkey sandwich and specifically requested to replace the turkey with chicken. However, they ended up giving me a sandwich that had both chicken and turkey stuffed inside. As soon as I unwrapped it, everything fell apart like a muddy mess. I've never experienced a sandwich like that before. I clearly asked for a replacement and was told it would be just chicken, but they charged me an extra $2 for that. When the sandwich finally arrived, it was awful. I ended up throwing away $12 worth after only eating a quarter of it. I visited on the afternoon of 8/28/2022, and I highly recommend avoiding this place altogether.

We stopped here Aug 2 after shopping at the Outlet Stores before a long drive home. We ordered 4 sandwich meals. In serving our drinks (tea) we found there was no tea or ice. The server was asked about getting ice and tea, when she said she was too busy.In asking her why sell a product you don't have she said I am not selling you ice. Our sandwiches were ordered as avocado andturkey.. there was no avocado on them. When the same server was told there was avocado she said I don't make the sandwiches.The employee had time to stock potatoes chips but never provide our tea. The employees attitude of entitlement was mostinsulting.

Terrible customer service. Waited to be waited on the guy working definitely gets pd by the hour. Asked for our sandwich certain ways but didn't get it that way. I went back up to the counter to get the sandwich stuff right I was not acknowledge he went to the person to get their order. They ordered Cinnabons he took his time with those waited by the microwave,while still not seeing what I needed my sandwich is now not warm. So we took the tomatoes off of the sandwich finally gotthe extra olives that I asked for. Was my husband's first time eating at a schlotzkys terrible way to try to win him over. Thatthe sandwich that just barely had olives on them.
