Subway - San Marcos

The staff were friendly, but the bread was lacking. It tasted like it was at least a day old, which was disappointing. Overall, I would rate the food a 1 out of 5.

I placed an online order for pickup, and the notification said it was ready. However, when I arrived, the manager, Mariah, informed me that they were out of bread. I explained that I had an online order that was marked as ready. She then told me that someone had already picked up my order. I insisted that I was alone and provided my name, which is quite unique, arguing that no one had come in and claimed my order. She mentioned that a man had picked it up, describing him as a Black guy. I found this situation incredibly frustrating and told her so. All I wanted was for her to acknowledge that they had no bread and that my order hadn't been fulfilled. Instead, she started shouting, asking what I wanted her to do. Although I had a salad on my order, she said she couldn't prepare it because they were out of bread.

I hadn't been to this Subway in a while, so I decided to give it another try. Unfortunately, I will NOT be returning to this location. All of the vegetables were warm, and the tomatoes were spoiled, which ruined the entire sandwich. I will not be coming back to this Subway again.

Food was great as usual, but staff seemed a bit on edge.

This review is not the employees but for the owner. We came inside the store to get some subs but the store was 100 degrees. The AC was not working. The toaster overheated because of the lack of cold air. The front door was prop open to let some air out but the store was full of flies. The two poor employees were sweeting, trying there best. I asked them why they they just don’t close the store until then fix the ac but the owner would not allow them to go home.
