Mendocino Farms - San Mateo

This restaurant is a great spot to grab a light meal. The spacious windows, tall ceiling, and cheerful music create a comfortable atmosphere. I tried the Peruvian steak sandwich, which was made with fresh ingredients and had a nice blend of spices. Overall, we found the food to be decent, resembling what we would typically cook at home.

I really enjoy this restaurant, and today I realized why. It's the combination of delicious food and friendly people. We had an amazing host named LUCKY B. who took great care of us. Some may think that the staff doesn't make a difference, but I strongly disagree. When people like Lucky B. are kind, patient, and attentive, it truly enhances the dining experience. I will definitely be returning to this place because of the wonderful atmosphere created by Lucky B. Good food and good people make this restaurant a must-visit.

The restaurant has excellent staff who are very friendly and offer a variety of delicious food options. While there could be more choices for vegetarians, this is a minor issue and does not affect the quality of service or food. Although the prices are a bit high, the high quality of the food justifies the cost. The restaurant has a comfortable environment, even when busy, and manages to avoid feeling cramped. My only suggestion is to provide an option on the app to remove chicken from salads for those in a rush who want to order ahead without wasting food.

Oh, my God! I'm in love! I had the Chimichurri Steak on a roasted Ciabatta bread with red peppers, caramelized onion jam, shredded Romaine salad, herbal aioli and Oaxacan cheese. So fingers lick well!!! I also had a lemon cheesecake cookie that was also delicious!! You will love this place!

I feel like all Mendocino Farms share a couple qualities: Super healthy and super aesthetic. This one was no different. Good: I really liked my avocado and quinoa salad it was super healthy and I even got the sauce on the side but it is a huge portion and comes with a tortilla so it's still a sizable and respectable amount of food in the end. I also liked how the waiters bring out the food to you so you don't need to go anywhere after ordering. We had a big group and we could fit all 6 of us on the patio. Bad: The outdoor seating has no heating so it is pretty cold to sit around outside. The indoor seating was better but we wanted to be safe given COVID. Overall would come again, I'm always a fan of Mendocino Farms.
