Good: I really liked my avocado and quinoa salad it was super healthy and I even got the sauce on the side but it is a huge portion and comes with a tortilla so it's still a sizable and respectable amount of food in the end. I also liked how the waiters bring out the food to you so you don't need to go anywhere after ordering. We had a big group and we could fit all 6 of us on the patio. Bad: The outdoor seating has no heating so it is pretty cold to sit around outside. The indoor seating was better but we wanted to be safe given COVID. Overall would come again, I'm always a fan of Mendocino Farms.
Extremely happy I was able to visit a Mendocino Farms before I went back to Chicago. I am absolutely in LOVE with their salad and the chipotle vinaigrette dressing is EVERYTHING. Don’t get me started with the toasted quinoa. Who’s genius idea was that?? Ughh. So good. So fresh. Must try
So I really like this restaurant but today I understood why. It's the food AND the people. An incredible host named LUCKY B. took care of us and he rocked. I know you're thinking it doesn't matter. The hosts and the people that serve are of less consequence you might say. I disagree. When the people are friendly, like Lucky B., when the hosts are patient, like Lucky B., when they take good care of you, like Lucky B, it matters! I'll keep coming back to this location because he set the tone and it was great. Good food, good people.
One of the best salads I’ve ever had! Pictured: Cobb salad without the tomatoes. The mustard vinaigrette is Beautiful outdoor seating space too.
Excellent staff, really friendly, and a good source of delicious food. Really expected more options for vegetarians here, but that's a personal quibble and doesn't reflect on the service or food. It's pretty pricy, but it's also high enough quality I'm willing to pay that price. The environment is comfortable; it's hard for a restaurant to not feel claustrophobic when it's full, and Mendocino pulls this off perfectly. My only real gripe circles back to the veggie thing: I'd love to see the option to remove chicken from salads on the app. When I'm in a hurry, I want to use the app so my food is ready when I get there, but if I did that, I'd have to pick off and waste chicken.
