I came by for a late weekend lunch around 2pm and there was no wait. The pretzel was pretty dry once it sat so I recommend chowing down on that one quickly. The cheese sauce was a great pairing. I had the shareable curry wurst. I say shareable because it felt like a meal in itself and was very filling. Flavor was strong and good but halfway through I was over it and the sauce was overpowering the whole dish. Wasn 't the biggest fan of the porchetta. I don 't have much to say about it but was way too strong with the pork rosemary flavor for me. It felt like it needed more oomph to the dish. Potato salad was also meh and needed more salt at the very least. Overall, wouldn 't mind coming for the vibes, beer, and maybe thrice fried potatoes.
Decided to check this place out with my good friend and it's a gem of a place. The hosts and servers were absolutely welcoming and super friendly. The place is huge and can accommodate a big party. It's nicely decorated and clean. They have lists of varieties of brews and cocktails with highly delicious lists of snacks and food. You order through scanning a bar code on your phone and pay easily on the app. And within just seconds our order of drinks and food we're delivered on our table. Their service was excellent! Brews we're great and the food tasted good. Will definitely return and recommend this place for everyone to check them out.
Beer hall located near San Mateo caltrain station serving wursts, burgers, sandwiches, and beer. I've been meaning to try this place ever since I found out J. Kenji López-Alt from Serious Eats is one of the owners. I tried their Al Pastor wurst, while my partner got a grilled chicken sandwich. I really enjoyed the wurst as it was very flavorful with plenty of sauce and grilled pineapple on top, and served on a warm toasted bun. My partner also enjoyed the grilled chicken sandwich, though it might have been a little too saucy as the bottom bun rapidly turned into mush and it was quite messy to eat. For the side, I got the potato salad, which was different from your typical potato salad but still good. My partner got baked potatoes, which were nice and crisp. Of course, they had a good selection of draft beer. I got the Fruh Kolsch which was exactly as described, wheaty with a hint of honey. It was a nice pairing with my wurst. Overall, I did enjoy my experience here though I did feel like the price felt a bit high, coming out to $50 for 2 people with the wurst, sandwich, and one beer. I'd still like to come back and try their other offerings in the future though!
I've had better dirty roller dogs at 7-Eleven than any of your Wienerschnitzels I hope you're not getting your Wienerschnitzel from the alphabet people. MEGA MEGA MEGA MEGA
Great casual scene to chill after work and eat.Smashburger may not stand out because but it's pretty darn good- two thin patties that you can customize with lettuce, spread, etc.Chicken pesto on a sliced bun is pretty good along with the potatoes as your side. They have an obscene number of beer on tap.
