Excellent food and fantastic overall experience. Brilliant value and most definitely will be back. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Almond Tart, Starter Salad
The setting is lovely, the bread is fresh and it’s very reasonably priced at €16 for three courses including wine or beer but the food is just poor in my humble opinion. Starter was three floppy pieces of white asparagus with shop bought mayonnaise and shop bought crostini on the side and a twist of orange ? The pork with creamy mushroom sauce consisted of two thin cheap overcooked pieces of grey meat that I struggled to cut. Fried frozen chips plus cabbage and tinned peas on the side. Hubby’s mushroom soup tasted shop bought and reheated. His pork Gordon Bleu sic was dry and looked a bit like a giant Findus crispy pancake. Just not nice regardless of price. Also, I’d recommend changing the music to something more authentic, perhaps some Spanish guitar rather than pop.
Exceptional lunch experience at such a reasonable price. Food was amazing and was only topped by the attentive and polite staff. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.
Serves a menu del dia. A good and varied choice of food. Generous portion sizes. Authentic dishes. Patronised by locals and those not so local. We had a table plate of bread, alioli and tomato. Followed by a choice of starters, mains deserts. Price €11 includes a drink or bottle of wine per couple. Excellent value, excellent food, great service. Phone to book to avoid disappointment. Cash only no cards. Check opening hours. Highly recommended. Fantastic, rustic, authentic Spanish family run restaurant.
