Sonny's Bistro - San Pedro

I've had lunch three times and dinner twice at this restaurant, and each experience has been exceptional. The quality of the meals is excellent, offering great value for the price. The lunch menu is just $10 and features a solid selection of dishes. I highly recommend trying it!

I went to the restaurant with my dad, and it was just okay. I’m a vegetarian, and there was only one dish I could order, which I ended up having to modify. It was some kind of pasta, but honestly, it wasn't great—or at least, that's not how I remember it. I feel like giving it 3 stars is being generous.

The food here is incredible! I'm definitely going back for the Rindstroganoff. My wife ordered the filet mignon, which was a perfect 2 inches high and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere caters to a more upscale crowd, but everyone is clearly there for the fantastic food and the singer performing at the bar. Don't miss out on this hidden gem!

I visit once a week and sample various dishes. Most of them are fantastic, while a few are just good. None of them are bad!

Sonny's is located in another strip mall on 25th street, just east of Western Avenue. I gave it 4 stars, although if I could have I would have rated it 3 1/2 stars. Some of the dishes are very good and some of them need some help. I would rate the food as nicely prepared comfort food. The decor is OK. The service is excellent. If you can, get Barbara as your server. She's a sweetheart.
