Derrick's Diner - Sandusky

Plate licking deliciousness. Boyfriend and I stopped for lunch on a Sunday after leaving Kelly's Island. No Sunday liquor license-but who cares when food is this yummy. Started with corn nuggets: kernels of corn breaded and fried. Then we split the brisket bowel-cheesy cheesy Mac with baked beans and brisket. Brisket was tender and Smokey as well as the beans. Flavors all melted together and not one was more over powering than another. Great comfort food/hang over cure. I will definitely come back when in the area.

The hibachi was delicious. Very friendly waitress and food arrived in record breaking time

Stopped and dined in for the first time after all the Covid changes and was completely impressed. The friendly staff instantly welcomed us, the place was clean and had plenty of space for me to feel comfortable with my kids there and they even put one of the TV screens to a kid show without us asking. The food was absolutely delicious!!!! You can taste the hours of love and skill put into the food from the very first bite and even the pickiest of eaters could not deny. We will definitely be adding this to our list of go to spots.

I have gone twice now. Both times the food was excellent. It was worth the trip from Fremont to eat at Derricks

The food was so good, everyone at our table finished our plates. You can't go wrong with the options of sides they offer, all of them are fantastic! It is a great little spot you don't want to miss!
