401 - Santa Fe

The food was outstanding as in previous visits. A definite place to eat when you are in town. It appears tat most of us are locals which is a good sign also.

One of the very best restaurants in Santa Fe. I highly recommend it.

The food was delicious! The owner made a special meal for us since they were out of salmon. He improvised with another fish. Tiramisu was out of this world!

My second time here I will definitely return. Everything was done well my guests enjoyed themselves immensely.

We've been to 401 many times since it opened last spring and I must say it's hit its stride. The arancini appetizer crispy/creamy risotto croquettes, served with a small, well dressed salad is delicious. So are the salty prosciutto wrapped asparagus, nicely complemented by an almost sweet burrata. The oxtail was equally good succulent and very tender sharing the plate with al dente brussels sprouts and blue cheese mashed potatoes. But maybe my favorite of the evening was the monkfish. It was pillow soft, perfectly and subtly seasoned, and set off with a tomato concasse. For dessert we shared a housemade biscuit strawberry shortcake with a not too sweet whipped cream. A lovely ending to a lovely dinner. Well done, 401.
