Happy Lulu - Santa Mesa Heights

Loved their crispy shrimp, baby squid, pan fried squid, yang chow rice, beef brisket and sizzling oysters. A bit crowded tho. Affordable prices.

So far, so-so. It's been a pretty average experience. We ordered the bestsellers which included the Oyster Cake and the Grilled Liempo. We added the Yang chow Fried Rice as well. Service is quick. Our orders came out in less than 10 minutes and there was a decent amount of people around. Food is so-so. The liempo could have been good if it wasn't sliced so thinly. Yang Chow is pretty bad. I dunno how you could get that wrong but there weren't much toppings and not much taste either. I can't judge the oyster cake since I'm not a fan of the dish at all. Ambience sucks and the design could use a lot of improvements. Feels like I'm eating at home. There's private parking so that's a good thing but other than that, not sure what I'd go back for.

A good home cooked chinese place. The store is small and with bad table spacing. I find the initial area nicer than the extension. Food here is good. Serving portion is just right. They also offer crab. Hot sour soup is better than other restos. Chili clam is delicious. Sweet sour mareng (?) Is also good. Spareribs yummy. Staff ok.

Bakit sobrang ingay ng resto na ito. May nagmamartilyo sa likuran ng counter. Pinahinto nalang muna sana nila habang may kumakain. Ayan, may naglalagari na ata. O chainsaw. Wait, drill naman. Yan martilyo na.

Arrived for lunch at 1pm on a Friday.  Parking was a breeze.  Only two other tables of customers were being served when we got there.  We ordered Grilled Squid, Halaan soup and the Sea Cucumber Tendon, plus rice.  The Sea Cucumber Tendon was a winner.  The Halaan soup was nothing special.  The Grilled squid was tasty but rather tough to chew.  It was a long leisurely lunch, with lots of waiting staff at hand.  We'd go back to try other items on the menu.
