Nauna pa iserve yung food ng kadadating lang na customer and I was the only person here before dumami tao. Asked the staff bakit ganon sinabi niya lang sakin "ganon po talaga". What the hell???
Been always wanting to try to dine here. We went in around past 9 in the evening. So far the area is clean, only 2 tables were filled that time so it's quite comfy since it ain't crowded. What we had: ???? Octopus Takoyaki Nice warm filling, crunchy on the outside plus 'em bonito flakes ???? Octopus Okonomiyaki ???? Yakitori So far.... soooooo goooooood ???????? But we'll still be on our hunt for "the best" takoyaki in town.
Never again. Been here twice. The first time we went here, we thought of, the takoyaki and service weren't good because it was nearing closing time. So we decided to give another try. But it got worst. We complained that, for twice already, we get the same air-filled takoyaki, but the server told as "ganyan po talaga yan." We don't believe because we already ate in Tomas branch for several times and it wasn't the same as Banawe's. Moreover, we didn't like his attitude towards us. Really, never again. Bad takoyaki plus poor customer service. Octoboy, Tomas Morato is way way better. Takoyaki are well prepared (not air-filled) and, better and polite service.
Still my favorite takoyaki place in the metro! ???? They have modern comfy place -nice and clean, also with very attentive servers. We ordered our favorite takoyaki -shrimp for merienda. 6 pieces of takoyaki balls -- they were light, airy, good quantity of shrimp meat inside yet crispy on the outside. Sauce and mayo makes it complete. Only 120pesos per serving. Happy tummy! ????
I only came to love Japanese food a couple of years back, and before I used to really hate takoyaki because I was given a bad batch. My boyfriend and I only tried Octoboy last month and we got hooked right on the spot! They're big, packed, and super delicious. The additional Php20.00 for the bonito flakes are well worth it. We really don't mind the price at this point (it's not that expensive anyway) because they taste so good. If you're looking to try a new takoyaki place, pay Octoboy a visit and you won't be disappointed.
