Absolutely amazing food, amazing service (even for those who aren't the best at speaking Spanish), and amazing overall experience from start to finish. Went with my mother during a hurricane and they happily invited us in with the saying the cave never closes 10/10 I will definitely come back to Santo Domingo if only for this restaurant. Could see the potential for a romantic evening out with a significant other as well. Also very safe with a guard watching over your car as you eat rain or shine! Now I know how it feels to be the “Caped Crusader”! Very warm welcome to the elevator door, which continues throughout the experience. It took a few minutes to realize that this was an actual cave! They would never know how this place was excavated and designed. Wow. La Cava should be placed on the Dominican Republic Star Attraction list. As soon as you take the elevator down, you will be blown away by the ambience and you will be in a fully functioning cave! Incredible place, very attentive staff, delicious food, romantic environment, dress code enforced, fabulous food experience. Definitely a high class, five stars, super clean decor!

I was blown away by this amazing restaurant. The food was top-notch, with high-quality dishes and exceptional service. The restaurant is set in a beautiful cave with cave-style decorations, adding to the overall charm. I tried the steak from the chef's selection, while my partner ordered the grouper. It may be a bit pricey, but the experience is well worth it. A must-visit for anyone in Santo Domingo.

We had a reservation for 8 people on the terrace. We took the elevator down and I was impressed by the restaurant. We were not happy with the initial table we were seated at, so I requested to be moved. The staff responded immediately and found us a better table. Our waiter was excellent. Despite being busy, he was very friendly and attentive throughout our meal, even when our food took a while to arrive. He also impressed us with his ability to split the bill accurately. Our cocktails and appetizers arrived quickly, but as the restaurant got busier, our mains took longer to be served. I absolutely loved the fried calamari and had to order a second serving. The cocktails were tasty, with my favorite being the paradise. Unfortunately, the restaurant was out of the paella I was hoping to try, but my friends and I all enjoyed our dishes. I ordered the seafood linguine and it was fantastic. The desserts were delicious. The atmosphere was great, the food was delicious, and the staff were friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience!
