The owner/cook knows exactly what he does and the food looks great, tastes amazing and is well thought out to look for nutritional values. Reservation is required, but you will receive full attention in return.
You need a reservation! If you are vegetarian or vegan, this should be your first meal in Sarajevo. You will eat amazingly good Sasa is a genius!
I write reviews very rare and this is one of the occasions when I just have to. This was really some of the best food I ever tasted. We didn't know much about the place before we left. All we have heard were praise and recommendations from the people who have already eaten there. In a way I am glad that we are not there “spoiler-free”. The host Saša runs the show. He literally makes everything himself so ready to wait for your food, especially because he does everything from scratch. Once the food arrives, you will realize why you had to wait so long and you will really enjoy every bite. Since we were free from pampering, we did not know about Saša's eccentric personality. We were happy enough to experience a party without reservation and they were immediately informed how “Karuzo is not a fast food place” (which I now know is practically an iconic quote from the host), and that they need to wait a bit longer for their food after they immediately leave what was quite entertaining view in a strange way. This means you will have one of the best culinary experiences of your life. On the attached pictures you will see the Buddha bowl with the best peanut sauce you will ever taste and Calamari filled with mussels and shrimps that are just from this world. Make sure to ask Saša what you want to order, how he is great to describe the court to you and usually very entertaining to speak. If I could give 6 stars, I would. We can't wait to go back.
Just reservations. I felt like I was in the cozy house of a very good cook. It was definitely one of the best culinary experiences I had in Sarajevo. I ordered glow wine, fish stew, Tagliatelle Pasta and cheesecake.
Had an amazing experience here. We came prepared after having read the reviews and made a reservation the day before and made sure we were not in a rush. The owner was kind and humble. The food was incredible. The soup we shared as well as a pumpkin taco were both amazing. However, the vegan kebab absolutely took the cake. I am sure this is one of the best dishes I have ever had, for sure the best vegan dish. It also better than any kebab I have tasted before. Would definitely recommend
