My partner and I both had fish tacos as an appetizer then an entree of blackened fresh walleye. Both were scrumptuous. The walleye...came with sides of perfectly cooked broccoli, peppers, carrots and asparagus. The generous portion of walleys was served on a bed of rice. There were several hearty mussels,in a thick tomato sauce, on the side. Everything was cooked to perfection. Both the tacos and walleye contained a bit of spicy heat though not overpowering; Portions were so generous, we could have split an entree or forgone the tasty appies. Previous reviews are spot on; This bistro belies its humble home offering much more than one would expect of a hotel restaurant.
Sunday Brunch with friends was very good. Food was very good and a reasonable price. Very busy when we were there but staff took good care of us. We will return for special events
Excellent apps and entries. Had lamb ribs as an app. And surf and turf ravioli entries. Just amazing flavors. Definitely will return again.
We spent a lovely evening at Bridges on January Even though they were short-staffed in the dining room (it may be that they were busier on New Year's Day than expected), the staff was very courteous. And the food was excellent we...were a large group of and there were other large tables, which could have been difficult to manage, but the food was delivered at a pleasant pace, and was of consistently high quality. It had been a few years since our last visit we are in Sarnia every couple of years but we will certainly be back.
Supper for family of four. Far too much salt on steaks when served. I believe it was also a Montreal steak spice or similar applied to steaks. One of the steaks was cooked to liking but not very hot. Other came out rare when medium...well was requested. One family member ordered garlic bread with cheese as an appetizer which came out as regular sandwich bread toasted with garlic spread and processed cheese slices on them. LOL. Server was very good though and friendly. For an expensive meal such as this, you can do much better elsewhere. This cool for sure lacks the skills for this higher end restaurant.
