I'm writing this review as I'm currently writing this review as I'm drunk peeing the copious about of hard liquor I drankAnd oh my god.

Ate dinner at Fionn McCool's last night before a movie with my husband. He had the fish and chips and I had the spinach arugula salad. The salad was meh but the fish and chips were unbelievably delicious. Stick with the classic pub favourites and you'll have a great meal. Having said that, the cobb salad has been delicious in the past. This is a great place to grab a beer and a pub classic before a movie.

Food was good, typical chain food type of restaurant. Great atmosphere and great service. Good place to grab a bite before a movie.

Before treating my mom and aunt to a movie at the Galaxy VIP Theatre, we stopped by Fionn MacCool's because of its very convenient location (right beside the theatre) and because I've been here several times with different groups of friends for dinner or drinks, and have never been disappointed.My mom and aunt are in their 60s, so I thought maybe we would have been placed in the side with the shorter tables (dinner seating) instead of the bar side with the high tables, but maybe they just wanted us to be part of the action and among the other customers who were mainly on the bar side. Not horrible, though. If they were unable to get physically into the high booths or chairs, I would have asked for the other side with shorter tables and regular height chairs.Service was fine. Nothing spectacular, but basic pub service. Food was good, and large portions. I had the beet salad, which was really good. The club sandwich is huge, plus you get a side with it. We definitely recommend their chips as the side, as those were a hit at our table. Looking around, I think the majority of their portions are large sizes. (Almost too much if you still plan to go to the movies and snack on popcorn and liquorice!)There was no entertainment while we were there, but when we walked past the restaurant after the movie (at about 9:00pm), they did have live music. I'd consider checking out their schedule and go back to listen to some of the local performers.
