I had previously ordered from their 8th Street location and their Central Ave location, and it was always delicious. I mistakenly thought this location would be the same. However, when the Lasagne was delivered to my door, the first thing I noticed was the smell of tomato soup. The bag was leaking everywhere and the sauce was so runny that it seemed like just tomato soup. After trying to eat it, it became clear that it was only noodles and soup, ruining the dish. It was a waste of money and a huge disappointment.
I have ordered pizza twice before from this restaurant, and while they were decent for the price, they were nothing special. However, I had a good experience with a loaded pizza in the past, so I decided to give it another shot. Unfortunately, on this particular occasion, October 21st, 2020, my pizza arrived burnt and barely edible. It seems that the quality has been consistently declining over the last three orders. I am disappointed and will not be ordering from here again. It's a gamble whether you'll get a good pizza at Venice House.
I decided to try the homemade fish and chips during my visit. Unfortunately, it was very greasy and heavy with fat. I gave it a second try, but it was still overly oily. I also ordered the dry ribs with Caesar salad, but the ribs were overcooked and the salad was drenched in dressing. The portion of the take-out Caesar salad was quite large, weighing 16.4 ounces.
We ordered pizza for a group dinner. The delivery was fast and the pizzas were hot. We had a variety of meat lovers, and all topped pizza, and one with chicken I really liked because it had regular pizza sauce, not Alfredo ir...BBQ. Very recommended and I will order again!
Man I loved the pizza here! Absolutely unreal! Fast, cheap, and filling! What more could you ask for? Great locally owned restaurant with a family feel. Highly recommend!
