Zicatela's Bar And Restaurant

This is an excellent Mexican restaurant with fantastic service and drinks! My entire band visited, and we had a wonderful time. Everything we ordered was perfect, and we will definitely be back.

As soon as we entered, the place had a strong scent of cleaning products, which lowered my expectations. However, the food turned out to be surprisingly delicious! I would definitely come back.

The food was awful and completely lacking in authenticity. The guacamole tasted like the pre-packaged kind you find at Sam's Club. I was really disappointed, especially since the dirty dishes piled up on the table and nobody came to clear them away. Overall, I just can't stress enough how bad the food was.

Needed a quick dinner stop along the NY thruway and picked this place based on nice reviews and convenient location just off exit 20. Very nice surprise. Great home made guacamole and they served fresh chips and black bean dip as well. All our food was tasty and well prepared. The zicatela’s lemon chicken salad was especially great. The colorful Oaxaca decor and friendly service made this a perfect pick.

This food is so, so, so good. I haven't had Mexican food this tasty is a long time. The resturant is super unassuming and we just happened upon it, but I would travel up here just to have this mole sauce again.
