The Old School Saloon - Scales Mound

Will need to come back again, just had a beer at the bar waiting for take out, deliscious food and great bar type options!!

I had never tried this place until last weekend and boy, was I missing out! The Friday night cod n shrimp was awesome! I've also been told the boneless wings, chips and pizza are outside! I'll have to go back someday soon and check it out!P.S. The beer is the perfect temperature!

We stopped by on a whim during a Sunday bike ride. The bar was open but there were no after-church patrons, so the owner and a few others were outside on the patio having mimosas. They warmly welcomed us to stay and have a few with them, which we did. We ended up having the best time with the nicest group of people. Soo friendly and inviting! The bar is an old school house which they have lovingly restored to be absolutely beautiful and rightfully take pride in. Thank you for great conversation, laughs, and the best Sunday stop we've had in a while!Next time I pop in, I'll be sure to try that fabulous pizza that has the Chicago folks all talking.

Awesome remodeled piece of history. Amazing waitstaff and good as well.

Super friendly service! The food was delicious, prices more than reasonable. Nice little town!
