Canali's - Schenectady

Hands down the best place I’ve been too in a long time! Food is amazing and huge portions! All together it’s a must experience if u haven’t been there yet!

In 1980, we held our wedding rehearsal dinner at Canali's. It was exceptional. Although we moved to Florida in 1983, I will always remember the delicious roasted chicken and potatoes, as well as the tender veal parmesan that melted in your mouth! According to my friends, Canali's is still considered a true Italian icon to this day.

We went to this restaurant for the first time for dinner on June 14 to celebrate a 60th birthday, and I have to say it was excellent! While I felt the price of the wine by the glass was a bit high, overall it was a fantastic experience. The carrot cake was also the best I've had in a long time.

My husband and I were on a date night while our daughter was at a kids night out event for a couple of hours. At first I wasn’t sure how the night was going to work out because the wait in between being sat down, ordering and having our meal served was quite extended. Our meal came out about an hour after ordering and it was well worth the wait because it was delicious and the portions allowed for us to enjoy it for two more meals the next day. If the meal had come out any later we would have had asked to pack it to go but from it’s taste it was made fresh and it was homemade. It all worked out perfectly and we recommend Canali’s to anyone who loves wonderful Italian food!!!!

Hands down, Number ONE Italian restaurant around! AND service, atmosphere, workers, and ambience is probably thee best that I've experienced in decades. And I'm an avid eater!! LOL. Probably eaten at 200 restaurants easy!!!
