If you're watching your salt intake, ask them to go light on seasoning. Everything is cooked to order so its fresh. Stop by between Houston and San Antonio. Clean restaurant and bathroom! The Real Deal Soul Food is a hidden gem in Schulenburg, TX. The food, atmosphere, and SERVICE is FANTASTIC. We stopped for lunch when traveling between San Antonio and Houston and her glad we did. It is right off of interstate 10 eastbound. My wife had a hamburger which was fantastic. I had a chicken fried steak and collard greens and they’re the best collard greens I have had. the chef came out and asked us if we were pleased which we were. I highly recommend stopping in sometime delicious food.
