Very good Taiwanese food. We had a larger group and easily made reservations online. Selection of food was great. Currently they have you scan a QR code at your table for the menu and place your order though the app. This process was great and we got our food and drink fairly quickly after ordering. The food was great will definitely be coming back.
Had a delicious beef noodle soup. They had a convenient ordering app and everyone is our party got our food extremely quick. Staff were nice and accommodated our large group. They had a large selection of Mala stews which my friends enjoyed and I'll definitely want to try on my next visit.
19 Gold doubles as a first-rate boba tea shop and a first-rate soup restaurant. I ordered a sweet osmanthus boba and spent some time working at my laptop. The restaurant does a lot of to-go orders, so there was plenty of seating area. After a while, my girlfriend came over and I ordered a seafood soup. They had a huge variety of seafood, and plenty of soup to serve both of us.
I’m from LA and have eaten a lot of great Taiwanese food from the area, thus I’m giving this place a higher rating than I normally would. What we ordered: green onion pancake, garlic string beans, tofu with century egg, minced pork rice bowl, beef noodle soup, and malatang veggie bowl. I would recommend the crispy green onion pancake. It came with a dipping sauce that was too spicy for us, but we tried dipping it in the sweet soy sauce that came with the tofu much better! Both the string beans and century egg tofu had INTENSE garlic flavor…it was a bit too much and too raw for us. Like other reviewers have stated, the minced pork bowl was quite sweet. I do like that you get one free refill of pork and enjoyed the Taiwanese cabbage that came with it. I would have preferred more savoriness with the pork. I would not recommend the beef noodle soup. There wasn’t anything special about the broth and the beef was not flavorful at all. You get huge portions with the malatang veggie bowl (not pictured) but again, we did not think the broth was anything to rave about. We ended up packing all of the broth based dishes to go and appreciated the care the staff took to make sure nothing leaks!
