Contribuisci feedbackThis restaurant is fantastic! I can't believe I spent so much time on the hill without ever visiting. The food is beautifully prepared and incredibly fresh, and the service is warm and welcoming. It's a family-run establishment, and the atmosphere is simply delightful. I highly recommend this place; it's a true gem.
Recently ordered Veg Jalfrezi, Naan and Mango Lassi through Uber Eats. The curry was the worst I have tasted in the US. First of all, the curry wasn't Veg Jalfrezi (which is a yellow garlic based curry). Instead I got a red tomato based curry with big chunks of tomatoes in it. It tasted as if the cook mixed sweet tomato ketchup along with spices to make the curry spicy (you know this when you get a separate sweet and a spicy taste that isn't mixed well. The curry isn't prepared properly at all). Naan was decent, Mango Lassi was good. The curry essentially ruined the meal for me. Maybe I got the worst case scenario, but I wouldn't choose to eat here if there's any other option. I wrote a review on Uber Eats for the restaurant, but there hasn't been a feedback yet. A feedback at least would be nice. I usually don't spend time to write a review, but this was a really bad experience.
This restaurant has been renamed to Mirch Masala. The location is the same but the food and management have changed significantly. We went at 1:00pm on Monday (08/15/22) for lunch. We ordered biryani and Tikka pieces. The Tikka pieces were dry and okay in taste. We got 5 pieces for 17$. The biryani was salty and only contained masala rice. They gave white rice on the side to add. I don't believe it is worth at all.
Online menu prices are cheaper than I was actually charged when I came in to pay and carry out my food. Entrees marked $13.99 online were $15.99 upon payment. When I pointed this out to a staff member, they did not offer to price match the online menu. Pretty sure this is illegal—either way, it’s definitely unethical. I won’t be going back.
This restaurant is now under new management and has refreshed its menu with some exciting new dishes. If you're in Seattle from Chicago and craving Desi food, I can confidently say that this place serves the best biryani and chicken dishes in the city, especially among the many Desi restaurants near the university and downtown. Their paratha and chai are superb as well. It's a must-visit if you're looking for authentic and spicy Pakistani cuisine.
