This is the biggest of the Seattle farmers markets (besides maybe the Fremont one, but that one is less a farmers market and more just a general street market, more focused on clothes and food trucks)The Ballard market has a good spread of produce vendors, food vendors, and other foodstuffs (honey, sauces, pickles, etc). It's a great spot to check out with a friend and wander around at with a snack breakfast. It gets pretty packed so parking might be slow, though still doable.
0 star ? for Island Girl Seafood! The market is very great, post comment here so everyone can avoid this vendor. Got 16oz Seattle clam chowder, and took it home to eat. It cost $12 and it is totally a ripoff. 1. Very very watery and tasteless. The worst clam chowder ever 2. There is literally not a even One piece of any seafood in it. I was asked to pay first, then the girl told me to move to the right side of the table where I could not see her scooping the soup into the container. I did not include tips in the payment because it is NOT a sit down restaurant and it doesn’t make sense to tip for scooping soup into a container. So this is what I got, a watery clam chowder with No seafood. Very very disappointed! Never go back again!!!!!!! ??DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY here
Sooo much fresh fruits and veg. The $3 bunches of beets looked so good. Love the $10 bunch of Dahlias. Got some Pie Bird slices- peach blueberry, Horchata, Strawberry Nectarine, Apricot Crumble, and Black Sesame. Delish hot breakfast corn dog! Too bad the shops along the market don't open until 10.
