Excellent service and great atmosphere in the heart of Pioneer Square. Fry made a fantastic pizza for me and was a pleasure to talk to. I can't remember the cashier's name, he had a cool arm tattoo, but he explained all the different cakes to me and did a great basil drizzle! Definitely coming back here!
The pizza had a sparse crust, but the toppings were fresh. The tables felt sticky and unclean. The restaurant was crowded at 9pm on a weeknight, despite it being a beautiful evening. There was only one table available on the outdoor patio. Overall, I do not plan on returning to this establishment.
I work in the neighborhood and am only in the office on Mondays. This is one of a very few quick service restaurants in the neighborhood that are open on Monday since COVID. I have yet to experience anything super fast in this store. I order online in order to make sure I get in and out as quickly as possible as I walk on my 30 minute lunch, so I schedule the pickup for the return trip to the office. I almost always have to interrupt someone working to get my food, because no one pays attention to the online orders area at all and they all seem to be too busy to deal with customers. This location is understaffed and the employees don 't seem to want to help most of the time. Each time I walk in to pick up and there is no one near the online pickup area. Also, my pizza has never been in that area. It 's always stuck on a random counter with no heat lamp. Once it was shoved behind a sink. Once I came in and there was a person sitting directly under the online pickup sign behind the counter which made me happy, finally I 'd get my food in a timely manner. I stood there waiting for her to look up from her phone, but she didn 't, so after a couple of minutes I said I was there to pick up my online order. She then looked at me like I was the idiot and said I don 't work here, I 'm just here for the photo shoot! Yesterday I ordered online for a 12:45 pickup. I walked into the shop at 12:50 and there were about 5 people standing around and no one was getting their food. The person putting pies in the oven and boxing them was the only person who it was possible to speak to, and she was clearly swamped. But with all the pizzas she was boxing, none of them were going to anyone waiting. Finally a woman came in pulling a wagon and she took what looked to be about two dozen pizzas. I found out that even though I had arrived at close to 12:50 to pick up my pizza that should have been ready by 12:45 that I had ordered at noon, it had not even been started yet because of a large order, and they were now starting the orders for people who were standing in line. I had to ask the poor young woman boxing about it, and she got them to start it. I finally got my pizza at 12:59, and I was late returning to work. This is unacceptable. The reason restaurants push online ordering is to avoid waiting in line. If a large order is received during the lunch rush, it should not take precedence over smaller orders that were scheduled before. And if it was received earlier, it should have been completed earlier and placed in a warmer. I have a free pizza coming because of points, but I 'm not sure I 'll ever return to this store. The service is terrible because of poor planning by management and understaffing. The online orders are not kept warm, and no one ever knows where they are if there 's an employee nearby to even ask. I guess I 'll be bringing lunch on Mondays from now on.
The pizza was VERY undercooked and completely white. However, the service was very fast. The atmosphere was overall very loud and bright but it was also very fun.
