I have visited this restaurant a few times as I live very close to it. The noodle bowls are delicious, especially the ones with BBQ pork, which I prefer over the grilled pork. The portions are large enough to serve for two meals. They bake their French bread fresh daily and cook their meat daily as well. The sandwiches are tasty, with thick bread that is well-seasoned and packed with plenty of meat and veggies. There are usually only two staff members working, an older lady preparing most of the food and a younger staff member handling the register and drinks. I am giving them 4 stars because the place gets very busy and these two employees work hard. The restaurant is located near the university, so it is always crowded with students. Expect a wait, especially during lunchtime. The boba drinks are not the best quality, as they are pre-made and stored in the fridge, then mixed with milk when ordered. If you are looking for good boba, this may not be the place for you.
The service at this restaurant is consistently excellent and they serve the best Banh mi in the area. The sandwiches are always fresh and delicious.
The best! The food here is great, as is the staff. A go to lunch spot for dining in or takeout. Great vegan options, too. 10/10
Continuing my quest to find the best banh mi in Seattle, I tried Mr. Saigon. I appreciated that they bake their own bread, but it wasn't crispy and flaky like you would find at rise and shine. I got the three little pigs but it was a bit rich for my taste. Bottom line: I come back here in a pinch but wouldn't go out of my way.
