Oddfellows Cafe Bar - Seattle

We used to adore Oddfellows, but tonight we brought along friends who had never been before. The waitstaff, as usual, were friendly, welcoming, and apologetic. Our food took quite a while to arrive, but we didn't mind because we enjoyed the house cocktails and great conversation with our friends. I had described it to my friends as a cozy, fun spot with amazing food. However, the lighting was too bright and we had to speak loudly to hear each other. They had run out of a couple of menu items, so we had to change our orders. When our food finally arrived after two apologies from our server, it was cold. My husband still ate his because he was hungry, but our friends had theirs reheated. The meat was tough and tasted like low-quality beef. Perhaps the new owners are still getting the hang of things? Or maybe it was just an off night? The server was very kind and offered us a significant discount, but my friends were left wondering if this was the place I had raved about. They had been looking forward to the polenta, but it did not meet their expectations. I am unsure if I will return, as Oddfellows used to be a favorite spot of mine. However, I must say that the staff there, despite any issues with the food or service, were top-notch and friendly.

I must have walked by Oddfellows a dozen times over the past few years en route to Elliot Bay Books. I've always been curious, so I'm glad to finally check it out. I'm lucky I made a reservation, otherwise I probably would have been waiting for over an hour. The food was amazing, though I did hope for a bit more variety on the menu. Not to mention it was hard to hear each other over the noise in the cafe. Otherwise a very fun time.

The chorizo Yukon hash was amazing!! We tried the pickled deviled eggs, and enjoyed the filling and micro greens but the egg texture was awkward. Strong tasty cocktails. Great vibe.

The service and food were excellent. Our party of 7 was easily accommodated.
