I'm very glad I did. I'm sure I looked a little bit ashamed of the staff as I had worked all day, but she didn't swear at all. The only thing I've taken to know is that I think they've somehow rushed me. I started with the Calamari Appetizer. It's the best I had in a long, long time. It is even better served than the Calamari in Suncoast at Alki Beach, which until yesterday evening was my favorite place to get it. It is served with a spicy aioli that was pretty good. Then I had the Ribeye Steak. It was cooked for perfection. The marinade and spices were right and did not exaggerate the meat. I choose the heirs and prosciutto as my side and admit to being somewhat underwhelmed. I'm glad I didn't order a pasta dish. Between the appetizer and the main course I was filled happily. I actually asked for a dog box! There are no problems with portion size in this restaurant!!! I highly recommend this place. The ambience is beautiful and the food is well prepared. I am pleased to stop again to try other items on the menu... clam and shrimp linguins someone????
FREE REVIEW: This was the best GF meal I had in 5 years, and I am visiting Boulder, where there are many possibilities! Absolutely amazing. I expected limited choices, but they offered most of their menus, and not just GF Spaghetti, but also unique GF Pasta. Had an appetizer (Antipasto Plate), Entree (Pasta with a Gorgonzola cheese pistachio sauce), Dessert (Vanille and Chocolate Gelato filled with cherries and covered in a frozen chocolate dish). My husband, who doesn't eat GF, also had a spectacular meal. Wonderful!
My favourite place in the world!. Chow Down is crazy!!!! This person doesn't have a palate or does not like Burien. Osteria da Primo and Grand Central Bakery are by far the best places to hang up in Burien. I've eaten a lot in ODP and I've never been disappointed. The ambience is great, small, intimate and loves the Italian music they play. I have a lot of favorite dishes, but I love the Risotto balls, their Calamari is the best in Seattle and boss Carlos red sauce well I dream about it. Do not let Chow Down you rock from Osteria da Primo or from Grand Central Bakery they both rock and were the key to revitalizing our neighborhood.
Dear, dear, love this place. There is no place that makes me feel like this place at home. Great genuine Italian food, no chicken fatucini alfredo, spaghetti and meatballs, or other American dishes here. I never know why people think everything is Italian, IT"S NOT! The wine list is great, packed with recommendations of things that most are not familiar, but are so delicious and couple good with the food. The cocktails are great, made with fresh juice and high quality alcohol. But really the food is the star of this place! Always super fresh, homemede and delish. The pizza is the best I had outside of Italy and the seafood dishes are amazing. It's my way to spot when I'm silent date night place, or when I'm in the mood, I'll just fall by myself and hang with the regular ones on the counter. Try to know food and wine, you will love it.
Delicious place with friendly service!`. My husband and I love Osteria da Primo. They offer delicious food, including al Forno (rich and decadent pasta , trofi with gorgonzola and pistachio (yum , and penne with spicy italian sausage (perfect for a more tradtional dish with kick! . In addition, Carlo makes delcious protiens, including chicken, steak, and lamb. He also provides a rotating list of specials that include yummy soups, risotto, and seafood. The wine at Osteria da Primo deserves a review on its own. Lindsay and Carlo have put together a comprehensive list of some of the best Italian wines we've tasted. Descriptions in their wine book are detailed and complete, and Lindsay always knows the perfect wine for every request. My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner at Osteria da Primo in January 2009 and our guests reported that it was the BEST rehearsal dinner they had every been to. We had a fabulous 4-course meal, delicious wine and beer, and the privacy of the entire restaurant space. It was the perfect spot for the start to our celebration. We love Osteria da Primo and plan to be regulars there for many years!
