The Washington House - Sellersville

My husband had the short ribs with baby potatoes, carrots, shishito peppers, braising jus tomato jam. I had the crab shrimp cakes with French fries, fennel parsley salad, roasted garlic tartar sauce. We both had the golden beets salad with Chevre fritters, greens, avocado mousse hazelnut, creamy herb dressing. We both enjoyed our dinners; however, I would have preferred baby potatoes rather than French fries and I didn't eat fennel parsley salad since I already had the tasty golden beets salad. Our server was wonderful and attentive. The room was quiet even with guests at 4 other tables, 2 of which had larger parties.

Staff and food were great. Enjoyed Father's Day brunch here with our daughter. The staff were personable and attentive. The old time ambience was enjoyable and we could actually hear each other unlike most new construction places.

We are big fans of Washington House. Eat there a lot before seeing shows at the Sellersville Theatre. Food is great, great value, and the staff is wonderful. We love to eat in the bar area which can be noisy but we don't mind that at all it's fun and very social and personable. If you want quiet the dining room portions offer this and some areas are very private. You can book rooms for events and the outside dining is great too. And the rooms if you want to stay there are cozy and nice. It's a wonderful historic inn and the owners have really made the effort to maintain that charm you feel like you've gone back in time but with all the modern service and convenience best of all worlds!

The place was pretty crowded as we went in the middle of dinner time around 6:30... We had a show next-door at the Sellersville Theatre. I had the salmon dish that was delicious. We had expressive martinis that were very very good. My boyfriend had fillet that he thought it was a little tough compared to the fact it was a fillet. Our friend had a food allergy that was acknowledged, but when the food came out, the allergens were included on his dish. Proceeded with caution if you have allergies.

We love eating at the Washington house restaurant. We attend shows at the Sellersville Theater on a regular basis and the restaurant is right at the bottom of the hill. The same people own both and have created a wonderful place for dinner in a show
