We eat out a lot. This is what I'm always looking for, a three course menu, priced reasonably. The 50cl pichet (2/3 of a bottle is just the right quantity) of a good local red wine. Chez Guy checked all the boxes. I enjoyed the duck with a raspberry sauce, my wife salmon. The fois gras was excellent as was the profiterole. We are here for another three weeks and will be back to Chez Guy with lots of friends. Guy's health is back!
Chez Guy is slightly out of the way, down the main street toward the river, but it is well wroth the detour. It is a small, cosy place, with good home cooking. My husband and I had a fine dinner there, and enjoyed the friendly service as well. It was good to see that they offered lighter dishes in summer several others near us were enjoying beef carpaccio with frites, but we were tempted by the full three courses and enjoyed all of them.
We went for dinner on the 14 juillet. We shared a salade du sud-ouest as a starter and then had respectively a cote de veau and a tournedos. All good quailty and well prepared. Service (presumably by Mme la proprietaire) was friendly and efficient. Wines were available en pichet. A thoroughly enjoyable meal.
Na het vele uitgaan/eten, blij een restaurantje gevonden te hebben die een lekkere keuken aanbied die bij de gerechten eerlijk bereide groenten en aardappelen serveert. Eenvoudig proper interieur. Vriendelijke bediening.
