We were walking around Sete on a very rainy day and just happened to walk by this place. So glad they were open. We had a really fantastic meal here, service was outstanding by a young sweet gal, super friendly and nice, and it was really a memorable experience all the way around. I was actually surprised, don't know why because we were in France, but the food coming out of that kitchen was amazing. This place is very small with some tables outside, but it was just excellent. We speak very little French, but they were super welcoming to us as we were the only Americans in the whole place. The owner and his son were hanging out in the dining area, which we loved, really nice people here. I highly recommend this place for the food, service, and the fun atmosphere. Prices are extremely fair for the quality and portions of food.
This place used to be good. It 's changed. The food is routine. Soggy chips (fries), tasteless 'heritage ' tomatoes. The patron, who used merely to be eccentric, is rude and clearly despises his customers. He makes rude and sarcastic 'jokes ', which are basically insults with the cop-out 'ha ha ' at the end so it 's deniable. Normally one would write about the food, but in this case his malign presence can destroy an evening.
This restaurant is small, but has a Really good kitchen. We enjoyed the dinner we had; tasty salads, very good meat and good desserts. The staff is helpful and pleasant, the manager special, but nice. We had a lovely meal in a restaurant with good atmosphere!
