Certainly not the best Chinese food I have ever had , place seems dirty, thumbs down
Food was good. Friendly service. Clean restaurant. I'd recommend the sweet and sour chicken and lo mein. Next time I will order the general tsos extra spicy and I don't normally love spicy. All food was very mild.
There were actual maggots in my rice the last time I ordered. Look at their Facebook page, I posted a picture. I reported them to the Health Department about this.
So I have been ordering from this place for the past 7 years. Just recently, over the past 3 months or so, they 've changed EVERYTHING. The menu has changed..... Not as far as what they offer.... But as far as the sizing available and pricing has went up. They used to have all their dishes (the common ones, not the chefs specials available in pint size and qt size. Now you have to get most things in either a qt or as a dinner or lunch. They 've taken away the option to get most everything in pint size. Which isn 't the main issue I have.... Just pointing out the changes made. Onto the changes that I 'm sad about. They have changed the way they make pretty much everything that isn 't fried. (egg rolls, sweet and sour chicken etc. . Including fried rice which is not what I mean when I say fried . When I say fried I mean anything that goes into the fryer. The fried foods are still good as well as their sweet and sour sauce. The chicken and broccoli has no flavor, the broccoli is limp and the chicken tastes like it came out of a can. It has a slimy texture that I can 't get past. I had to add a bunch of soy sauce and hot sauce to try and jazz it up... But I ended up not even eating it because that didn 't even help it. The lo mein no longer has the veggies it used to, you are lucky to find a few. The noodles are different, they are larger and not as dense. They taste like an overcooked egg noodle in the shape of a lo mein noodle. I normally get chicken lo mein, and once again the chicken tastes like it came out of a can. The consistency is wet and slimy. The shrimp fried rice is not fried rice at all. If they actually are frying it in a wok, they aren 't doing it long enough. It tastes and looks like white rice that had some soy sauce added. There are no veggies, no fried eggs, nothing. The shrimp itself is good though. If I would have never known how good this place used to be I would just say that it is not a good Chinese restaurant. But I do know how good they used to be. They used to have really good food that was what you would expect from Chinese cuisine. Maybe they sold it, maybe they tried to cut costs... I really don 't know. But I 'm really sad that they made these changes.
