Vanilla slices, lots of other homestyle goodies, and of course fresh hot pies. like the other review friendly staff make a good coffee
Great pies arrive early before your favourite runs out. Wide choice of typical 'Aussie bakery ' cakes. Fresh baked bread.
The owners of the restaurant are lovely people. The staff are generally pleasant, but there is a young member of staff who consistently provides poor service. She does not greet customers, smile, or ask how she can assist, but instead looks blankly. Some customer service training is definitely needed. The coffee is great, and I have purchased the brand from another store they sell it in. The pastries are decent, but the vanilla slice lacks flavor. The texture is odd, like a mixture of gelatin, sugar, and food coloring. It lacks the smooth and creamy texture of a traditional custard. The bakery has great cakes and chocolate eclairs, but the other pastries are hit or miss. The fillings are good, but the baking is subpar. Despite this, I still buy them because I enjoy the fillings and there aren't many other options in the city. The creamed broccoli and cauliflower cake is excellent, but the chicken and vegetable cake lacks a creamy sauce like the other cakes. It tastes like canned chicken in thickened water. It's the only cake I would recommend avoiding. It reminds me of a low-quality canned soup with added chicken, served in a poorly baked crust. Customers should be prepared to choose wisely when visiting this place. I will continue to visit for convenience, but I hope the young lady providing poor service can improve in the future.
On a lively street is this small bakery. I might have a bad day, but I found it pretty inspiring. it was only average. as graf dracula would say, blah blah blah blah blah. blah. okay, so we know that the graf didn't. really said that. but if we look to his friend, the cookie monster. I can't imagine he's going in and saying, I want cookie. we will not even discuss what aloysius snuffleupagus would say. I ordered a cast roll that was very thorough. the service is very good. there are parking spaces on the street.
