Last year 2021, thus was one of our favorite places. Not sure what happened but we went twice this year and both time service was horrible. From not getting drinks and having to go to the bar to get them, to a reduced menu and false info from staff. We have visitors all summer and we didn't take any to Captain Dans as we didn't want them to have a bad experience. Such a disappointment. Hope things improve. Maybe next year we might give them another shot. I don't think they really care if their customers are happy or not, just looking to grab those tourist dollars.

Our Canada Day and Wedding Anniversary celebration at Captain Dan's in Point-du-Chene, NB, was truly memorable. This restaurant continues to be our top choice for a fantastic dining experience, and this time was no different. The meal we enjoyed left us completely satisfied and was definitely worth the price. The location of the restaurant overlooking the wharf, boats, and bay added to the charm of our visit. We especially love the lively atmosphere at Captain Dan's, especially in the evenings when live bands perform downstairs, and upstairs turns into a dance floor. It's a wonderful place to relax, take in the surroundings, and enjoy the entertainment. Despite the busy crowd on Canada Day, the staff promptly seated us and accommodated us when a sudden downpour forced us to move downstairs. Although it lacked the same ambiance as upstairs, we appreciated the shelter it provided. Now, onto the highlight of our visit - the food. We shared a delicious 4 piece Haddock and Chips with a tasty potato salad. The fish was perfectly cooked with a crispy batter that wasn't greasy. The fries were also a hit with their crispy exterior and soft interior. Our son loved his Double Burger, which had juicy, flavorful meat and a variety of toppings. Although he found it a bit greasy, the bite I tried was perfection. The only downside was my drink order, as I received too much ice despite requesting a small amount. Next time, I'll be sure to be more clear in my request. Overall, Captain Dan's continues to be one of our favorite places for great food, beautiful views, enjoyable entertainment, and excellent value for the price. This visit met our high expectations and earned a solid rating of 9/10 from all of us.
